Simone Tartocchi
(Rome,
1976) studied at the Griffith Academy for Television
and Cinema in Rome in 2002,
following courses held
by Daniele Segre, Marco Pontecorvo and Vincenzo
Carpineta. He worked as a cameraman for the film
Zero, inchiesta sull’11 settembre (2007) by Giulietto Chiesa, Franco Fracassi and Francesco
Trento. He also worked on the film Pablo, vite di un
poeta (2005) by Dario Baldi and was also the film’s
co-producer. In 2000 he made the short No Stop and
in 2003 the short My Son’s Legacy. He then directed
the documentaries Polonia (2004) and Germania
dell’Est, 25 anni dopo la riunificazione (2005),
both of which were written by Franco Fracassi. In
2005 he made a documentary about organizing a
theatrical performance, Il borghese è veramente
gentiluomo? by Giuseppe Talarico.
